Q: Will my Namaz be accepted as perfume sprays contain alcohol?

Ans: Clarification on Alcohol in Perfumes

At Meraki Fragrances, we understand the concerns regarding the use of alcohol in perfumes from an Islamic perspective. It is important to clarify that alcohol, in itself, is not considered impure (najis) and is permissible to use in products like medicines, perfumes, detergents, and other useful applications. The prohibition in Islam is specifically on the consumption or drinking of alcohol (khamr).

Khamr is a result of the fermentation process, combining sugar, alcohol, and water. However, alcohol used in perfumes does not go through the fermentation process and is purely utilized for its functional properties, such as enhancing fragrance. Therefore, keeping this distinction in mind, the use of perfumes containing alcohol, regardless of its concentration, is not prohibited or banned. Rest assured, using such perfumes does not affect the validity of your prayers (namaz).

Meraki Fragrances is committed to providing clarity and assurance regarding the products we offer, ensuring they align with both practical and ethical standards.
